Map copyright © David Lindroth Inc.  This map would also be a useful reference for readers of Neal Stephenson's 'ecothriller' Zodiac, in which the catastrophe at Toms River appears in a fictional guise.  Fagin's book is a real-life thriller, particularly for those of use who have spent summers swimming in these waters.

For The Last Forest: The Amazon in the Age of Globalization, by Mark London & Brian Kelly (Random House 2007). Map copyright © David Lindroth Inc.  At first this looked to be a routine adaptation of one of our archived travel maps, until we found that many of the requested labels did not appear on standard reference maps.  Online research soon revealed that these were usually places where some social or ecological atrocity had occurred, precise locations to be deduced from written descriptions.
